Chivitos are one of the most common dishes that you can find in Uruguay. The Chivito can be in a sandwich, or served on the plate over french fries.

As a  sandwich it’s enormous and can be made with many different ingredients.   Which ever way you eat it, it is layered with steak, ham, bacon, grilled bell peppers, egg (hard boiled, or fried), olives, lettuce and tomato.  For the sandwich we add mozzarella cheese (to hold it all together).
